When you register for a YOU Technology-powered promotion, we ask for your email address, date of birth, ZIP code, gender, and, in certain cases, other information requested by the promotion sponsor. Occasionally, YOU Technology and its promotional sponsor(s) conduct user surveys. All information requested in such surveys is completely optional.

For all YOU Technology visitors, not just registered users, we collect IP addresses, browser type, access times, duration of visit, referring URL, platform, new/repeat information, time-stamp and exit page information. This data is gathered for statistical purposes so that we may analyze trends and performance over time.

How will my information be used?

The data we gather is used to create and enhance your customized user profile and keep you up-to-date on new promotional offers and incentives from our promotion sponsor(s).

How will my information be protected?

YOU Technology maintains practices and procedures that are designed to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of customer information. When you provide information to YOU Technology, you are doing so in a safe and secure environment. Will you share my information?

All information and data collected through this promotion is owned by and sent to the promotion sponsor(s). We NEVER share any personally identifiable information about specific individuals with any third party. When you make a purchase through YOU Technology directly, the personal and billing information you provide will be shared with the appropriate third party in order to ensure the completion of your purchase. This includes any vendor or order fulfillment partner, as well as any third parties responsible for facilitating the transaction (e.g., credit card authorization companies). The personal information provided to the third parties will not be used for any purpose other than the completion of your transaction.

YOU Technology may be required by law to disclose certain information. YOU Technology may also disclose information against someone who poses a threat to YOU Technology's interests (e.g., customer fraud) or whose activities could bring harm to others.

Will I receive email communication from you?

If you opt-in to receive communications from us or our partners, you will be kept informed about special promotions and incentives from the promotion sponsor(s).

With the exception of emails confirming registration and any winner notification, YOU Technology will not send you any emails unless you elect to receive communications from us. If you are no longer interested in receiving communications related to the program in which you are participating, you have two choices for opting out of future mailings:

* You can opt-out via the "help center" link located on the promotional website.

* You can opt-out from a user account maintenance screen, which can be reached by signing into your online promotional account.

How can I access and manage my account information?

If you wish to update, correct or access any pertinent, personally-identifiable information that you provided to YOU Technology through the registration process (such as email address, zip code and date of birth), you can make the changes by choosing the "edit account" link on the promotional website.

A cookie is a unique identifier sent to your computer by a Web server and stored on your hard drive. This authenticated tag lets a server identify you. At YOU Technology, we only use cookies to maintain your session when you are logged into a YOU Technology-powered promotion. In addition we may use cookies to prevent participation by people under age 13, and in some cases under age 18. No other Personally Identifiable Information is stored on these cookies. The cookie assigns you with a session identification number so our system knows you are logged onto the YOU Technology server. The session identification number is the only piece of information stored in and used by YOU Technology. YOU Technology currently does not store personal information in the cookie.

Sweepstakes

YOU Technology may occasionally offer site visitors an opportunity to participate in a survey, contest or sweepstakes. Information collected by YOU Technology for such a survey, contest or sweepstakes will be subject to the same protection as the information YOU Technology collects from its users generally. The first name, city and state of residence for sweepstakes winners will be available to participants of a given program via write-in request and, in some cases, via the promotion website.

Mergers/Acquisitions

In the event that YOU Technology or substantially all of YOU Technology's assets are acquired by a third party, customer information may be transferred to YOU Technology's successor company. In the event such a transfer occurs, the transferred information will be subject to the same protections as prior to the transfer.

Children

YOU Technology is committed to protecting your child's online privacy and takes this issue very seriously.
